After purchasing all six 'Rocky' films in a boxed set for 10 GBP I decided to chronicle the watching of the films. While I'm not one to try to list my top ten films, there is a chance 'Rocky' would be there. Its sequel is also one of the best sequels in cinema history. It then goes a bit strange, along with Stallone's career. We shall see. All six films. Across four decades.

So, 4 great role-playing games. Essentially 5 of the best I've played in for their own unique reasons. Well, that should probably be five of the best up to and including 2008...

The first half the season saw two episodes stand out above the rest, School Reunion and The Girl in the Fireplace, and even The Girl in the Fireplace just fell short of being perfect. The rest of the season so far has just lacked a certain spark, verve and sense of grand adventure. Six more chances to improve.

At last, after a year of waiting, we have the second series of the new Doctor Who show.This diary is written as the shows air, to capture the moment, and to review the episodes as they are meant to be reviewed, in their Saturday slot, with only the trailer for the next episode as knowledge of what's to come.

A while back I was reading a thread on a gaming forum, which was going on about the noting of story in role-playing games. Nothing knew. One argument put forward was life doesn't have a story. I'm not sure I agree with that.

So, why do I play World of Warcraft? Not only that, why has it become the game I've probably played for the longest? And will certainly be by the time the expansion comes out in June? The answer can be found in the simple fact that people play games for different reasons.
